Colophon

About this site

Who wrote this, what it is for, and how it was built.

This page is the colophon: who made the site, what it deliberately leaves out, and how its text was produced.

What this site is

This site is public documentation of the AI work done at the Institute for Theoretical Physics III at the University of Stuttgart. It is written for readers who are comfortable with technology but do not work here, so it focuses on the idea and the user workflow first, and keeps the implementation detail on a separate page for each project.

Where the code is

Several projects are available to university members on the University of Stuttgart’s GitHub Enterprise: secdev, itp3wingman, the generic OpenCms skill, the written instructions that teach an agent to edit the university’s content management system, and the report tracker. Development remains on the institute’s Git server; the GitHub repositories are deployment mirrors. Office is not published because it is tailored to this institute. The institute-specific OpenCms site skill is not published either.

What the site leaves out

The projects run on institute infrastructure. Hostnames, port numbers, network addresses, internal URLs and identifying operational details do not belong on a public page, so the site replaces them with role descriptions such as the storage server or a member of the administrative staff. The site describes security findings only as classes of problem, never with reproducible details.

How the site is built

Hugo , a static site generator, builds the site from text files, with a custom theme that follows the university’s corporate design : Uni Stuttgart Sans and the anthracite, mid-blue and light-blue palette (Anthrazit, Mittelblau, Hellblau), with the light blue reserved for graphic accents.

The pages are light. Diagrams and formulae are drawn when the site is built, so the browser loads no library for them, and every diagram carries a text alternative for screen readers. Everything remains usable with JavaScript disabled.

Authorship

The prose on this documentation site is drafted by an AI agent. The agent reads the projects’ repositories, design documents, change logs, session logs and presentations, then produces a draft. A person sets the scope, decides what may be published, checks claims against the source material and reviews the pages before they are published. Even so, nothing on this site is guaranteed. The site is provided as a service for interested visitors, “as is”, without any warranty of correctness, completeness or currency, and nothing on it is advice or a commitment of any kind.

Drafting by an agent and checking by a person keeps the documentation of fast-changing tools current.

The University of Stuttgart’s legal notice and privacy notice are linked in the footer of every page.
